Founding Director Gavin Close, is a Yelgun Githabul of Bundjalung and respected community leader in Sydney Wangal Gadigal, where he resides. With over 20 years experience in construction and property development, his company https://yelgunconstructions.com.au stands as testament to his drive and will to succeed. His aims and visions are to make a better Australia for all, by connecting indigenous and non indigenous Australians through employment and educational opportunities.
Ilan Bermeister is the firstborn Australian in his bloodlines. In 2007/08 he walked from Sydney, Gadigal to Byron Bay, Bundjalung in 36 days for a cousins wedding and on to Brisbane after. He learned the luxury of a cup of coffee, that there’s no boredum in the bush, and no higher honour as an Australian than to serve her First Peoples. A public servant by nature, he has worked in local government for several councils in wellbeing community services, including working in the remote Northern Territory communities of Borroloola and Gunbalanya.
